Coquito is a beloved Puerto Rican holiday drink, often enjoyed during Holiday celebrations. It's a creamy, coconut-flavored beverage that's spiked with rum. Here's a classic recipe:
Ingredients:
* 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
* 1 (13.5-ounce) can evaporated milk
* 1 (12-ounce) can coconut cream
* 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
* 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
* 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
* 1 cup rum (or more, to taste)
Instructions:
* Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the condensed milk, evaporated milk, coconut cream, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and cloves until well combined.
* Add Rum: Stir in the rum until incorporated.
* Chill and Serve: Pour the mixture into a sealed container and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight, to allow the flavors to meld. Serve chilled.
Tips:
* For a thicker coquito, add a tablespoon of cornstarch to the mixture before blending.
